RSS is worthy!

I've never heard about the term RSS mainly the meaning. I was surprised about the facility it provides people. When I saw this abbreviation I remembered the symbol of money "$", even in other languages. I don't know why it reminded me money exactly but the initials and the function are really something valuable. So, I could analyze attentively the correct way and the potential RSS has for the ones who prefer to surf on the net through time saving. I need to keep on working on Google reader because it has a specific strategy to be used. I also have to be involved with the other elements I got from RSS like Mozilla firefox. We started from this week on a variety of practical tech stuff. Thus, the impression I had relating this modern term to money was not far from its importance. Am I right? In fact, it can open a whole new world for us!

Reflection: a significant part of having blog!

What a great thing is blog! It is basically an online journal in which we reflect on our readings, discussions and other activities related to our own style. Exactly what people write in blogs is up to them. One of the most important aim of blog is reflection because its helps us better retain the newly-gained knowledge and also connects the new knowledge to existing one. I love reading people comments, opinions and discoveries. Because of that, I am enjoying the idea of having blogs in order to involve my students and friends. I'm sure it is a powerful tool for deepening my learning.

Some friends of mine like Kelly, the one take part of this course, love being part of blog. So, these people may view this tool as a chore. They believe it is a valuable way of learning. I agree totally with the concept of the new blogs' users, even though blogs take time sometimes. Then, we should allow our students to be involved in this collaborative tool through flashy layout. They have to be attracted to start participating and getting comments about our proposal. In fact, things make sense when we get blog more familiar.

Maybe teachers really should convince learners about the importance of sharing. Our students need to be aware that the engagement with blogs could increase their learning through reflection and interaction. Moreover, they are exposed to a new and important technology, improving their written communication skills as well.

I think teachers have been part of a reflection cycle since they start getting the process of students learning. Due to this pedagogical environment I decided to add the following picture on this comment. It might be the target of our modern educational path. Let's invite learners to be participants of this new idea!

The device of an important tool of technology: Diigo, the potential community!

Online social bookmarking widens people's mind effectively. I couldn't imagine such incredible thing like Diego. In fact, it is an unique community of information, knowledge and entertainment in which people take part around the world. Bookmarks are the most interesting and important tools from Diigo, regarding its potential. As someone said on the last chat, they are whenever/wherever we need them, depend just on our skill to deal with. Besides, there are other significant tools that contribute to Diigo's access like the tags (keywords). They can be considered the connection between the bookmarks, filtering the information we are supposed to store.

At the beginning, I was confused and impatient with the amount of new things to do on Diigo. However, I started thinking about a similar group I have participated lately. So, I remembered orkut, the one I have been most of the weeks. Surely, the both groups have differences; they have been used by many people with specific aims. Although Diigo has special features because of its modern potential.

In this way, I struggled much more to understand this community and started to accept the rules I wasn't accustomed to get. I won't miss the chance to show my students the unique group Diigo represents, its strong proposal to join us in this new era of tech. Maybe, I will be surprised to talk about it with my students because I have the impression they already know what I intend to share among them. Let's see what the future save in the next days!

Let’s be the 21st century’s technology fellow from now on!

How real the both videos are! These learners have been into classrooms frequently. Even though, I do not work with a variety of tech tools, I feel anxious and little lost about the huge and fast process of this incredible universe. It’s noticeable the facility, the involvement and the familiarity our students have with tech issues. So, I really hope to be engaged with more sources of teaching technology in English class. Unfortunately, I haven’t been teaching English focused on tech effectively. However, I give my students kinds of excellent sites so that they can improve their practice in English, such as: games, listening, videos with jokes and so on. In fact, we need simpler than that, according to the video we have just to approach our kids, “The performance approaches perfection.”

The main barrier I have to be connecting with my kids in this way it is the lack of computers at school. There, we get two or three for accessing. Thus, we deal with this difficulty and forget to create other ways of engaging our learners. Even, this little use of tech tools I love teaching with videos, google resources, chats, and other possible stuff.

I think I do not enrage my students frequently, but after watching these videos, I’ll reflect about the importance of being a technology fellow ever more.  Today’s world is the explosion of www (whatever, whenever and wherever). Computer helps us to cope with most of our problems. It can shorten distance, money and time. English language is always used in operating computers. In addition to getting many needed information through computers, we can meet a lot of people around the world like in this course. We also get a lot of information from the world’s hemispheres through the rich tools of tech.

Let’s help the technophobes around the world, the ones who have existed since the Industrial Revolution and probably for a lot longer in some shape. Some years ago, I was one of them, but now I’m engaged with the new era of the fascinating technology universe. Moreover, it’s not a good idea to have this engagement just for ourselves, we need to share all the possibilities with our kids and provide them our interests to become a better teacher focused on the richness of the modern technology! Long live the web tools!
